A Detailed Overview of My Cinematic Career

My journey in acting began with a modest yet meaningful introduction to the world of cinema. I made my first appearance on the big screen in Dedunu Akase, directed by Priyantha Colambage, where I portrayed a small, unnamed character. Although brief, this experience marked an important starting point, allowing me to understand the discipline, commitment, and creative responsibility required in filmmaking.

This initial exposure soon led to a more substantial opportunity in the television film Wasanthe, broadcast on TV Derana. In this project, I portrayed the character Regie, a memorable antagonist. Regie was depicted as a local thug, intriguingly shaped by his upbringing within a respectable, first-class family in a rural village. This role challenged me to explore layered characterization and helped establish my presence as a performer capable of portraying complex negative roles.

My official transition into feature films came with my first major cinematic role in Sheysha, directed by Isuru Gunathilaka. In this film, I played Bandara Nilame, another antagonist marked by psychological depth and moral complexity. This role further strengthened my ability to embody intense and demanding characters, contributing significantly to my growth as an actor.
